Work History

Manufacturing Production Associate

Subaru Of Indiana Automotive
Lafayette, IN
05.2016 - Current
  • Inspected finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications. one such example would be that of one such dealership grommet complaint. To find appropriate places in production, testing different areas in plant for efficiency and safety. for years this small grommet may had been simple yet unnoticed issue. at some point it was found and had correction needed. this would be just one such example.
  • Documented production information via daily system logs and discussed issues with management. In aid of developing a program had requested working under production managers. This was simply to raise awareness within SIA. With intentions to bring too light all those involved in production, everyday should contain improvement to production, and product. encouragement to have strong commitment to every individuals work as one unit was the desired result.
  • Made sure that products were produced on time and are of good quality.
  • Inspected final products to assess compliance with quality standards and established tolerances.
  • Identified plans and resources required to meet project goals and objectives. during my time outside line production, while still being in it. my production managers had given me a position to be consistently aware of what the lower management needed to progress. while working on the new production gates quality control it was my job to point out any irritation a customer may find. from the day of purchase, but as well as those years later.
  • Managed projects from procurement to commission.

Security

Intellex Security
Chicago, IL
01.2013 - 05.2016
  • Greeted guests professionally and courteously to cultivate welcoming atmosphere while making safety top priority. I was assigned to a logistics company. some transporters had a wait time of ten hours, they also have a time frame to meet. i may not work "FOR" them, but its best to work "WITH" them.
  • Oversaw daily monitoring and patrolled buildings, grounds, and work sites. Most people in the profession like to use this time to use this time to catch up on social media. I myself personally dislike that mentality. on one of my patrols I was fortunate to find a woman who had collapsed due to a seizure. She got metical attention immediately, I felt a great sense of pride for actually doing my job.
  • Patrolled and monitored premises in company vehicle, rarely on bicycle, but often by foot.
  • Checked and verified photo identification prior to granting facility access. this wasn't something i did often. only when the companies had considered them a high risk was this necessary.
  • Executed security rules and procedures and calmly and promptly escorted non-compliant individuals out of building. Yes! sometimes people have really bad days, dissolving the situation is always the first thing any person in the position should try. During very, very rare situations keeping a level head and being alert to the danger of the situation is important. I my self have only had to remove a person twice in my years for threatening violence. Im grateful that during both situations no one was ever hurt.
  • Reported suspicious activities and persons to law enforcement. This is actually a common part of the job. accidents happen. Mosty reports were made for damages. 90% of reports are because a person makes a mistake. Theft, aggression, or retaliation is much less likely. Aggressive damages are easier to counter, the violator almost always makes themselves known before the damages.

Vendor Manager

Snyders Lance
Tinley Park , IL
04.2009 - 05.2016
  • Managed vendor performance to maximize profitability and achieve financial objectives.
  • Identified cost-effective vendors and set up favorable contracts, saving $20,000 per year after in personnel, and gas expenses as a combined expense after only the 2nd year. over time it was more profitable to build accounts for neighboring vendors for high profit sales.
  • Optimized organizational systems for payment collections, Deposits and recordkeeping. Cash accounts could become a nightmare if you allow too much flexibility.
  • Hired, managed, developed and trained staff, established and monitored goals, conducted performance reviews and administered salaries for staff. It is a very true statement that you will have better luck training a stranger, than it would be friends, or family. Friends and family only work well, if they share liability. Strangers if picked well after a solid interview are well aware they need to prove value.
  • Maintained primary relationship accountability for clients, overall servicing responsibility and client satisfaction to maximize profitability of client relationships. the customer will always be your greatest asset.
  • Integrated logistic systems into company processes to improve operations and manage work orders and price changes. The economy in the vendor trade is a brutal trade, if you have a lack luster understanding you will struggle. to build a new brand sometimes you may need to under-cut the stronger one. this is a hard move to make for those who choose to remain comfortable. by using the reputation you build with your client you can use another vendors lack of service to your advantage.
  • Improved customer satisfaction scores through application of superior conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Some clients were more difficult than others. I had some that I personally disliked. The core idea in the working world is??? What best serves the agrement yourself and your client/customer have.
