Responsible for all yard operations. Including all forklift and vehicle maintenance. Dispatching of materials and the trucks on which they are delivered. Receiving new stock, producing monthly inventory checks. Building orders in a safe, timely manner.

Responsible for the operation of the dispatching program. Utilizing programs like Teams, Outlook, and Spruce, to better aid in efficient deliveries.

Direct supervisor for up to nine employees, managing timecards, approving time-off requests, and giving yearly performance reviews, along with overseeing day-to-day operations.

• Stacked material in a safe manner on pallets or racks ready for shipment.
• Loaded and unloaded delivery trucks as needed.
• Cut wood to customer specifications using saws, planers, routers and other tools.
• Checked incoming shipments for accuracy and quality control.
• Loaded lumber onto trucks for delivery to job sites.
• Assisted customers with selecting materials for their projects.
• Maintained inventory of lumber stock.
• Unloaded incoming shipments from trucks manually or with machinery.
• Transported material between locations using hand truck, dolly or forklift.
• Inspected and measured lumber for defects and dimensions.
• Cleaned work area daily including sweeping floors and organizing storage areas.
• Invoiced products leaving yard to manage inventory and billing.
• Accurately assembled orders and built loads for delivery.
• Learned lumber products and manufacturer differences to give customers sound advice on building materials.
• Resolved customer complaints in a professional manner while maintaining positive relationships with clients.
