I have been a full time firefighter for three and half years and have been in the fire service for seven years. I'm a firefighter that can be counted on and looked at as someone who can lead a crew. I believe in training and always trying to improve as a firefighter. Since I have been a firefighter, I have obtained my fire instructor, my cpr instructor, and fire inspector certificates to continue to educate myself. I'm also a firefighter that takes great pride in my work. I strive to be a better firefighter by paying attention to the fine details when it comes to truck inspections, group trainings, and building walk throughs. As a firefighter, it is your job to improve on something everyday and that is something I don't take lightly. I believe in training everyday whether it is a building walk through, a school walkthrough, pulling hand lines, talking extrication tactics, or watching training videos, I make training a priority. I believe as a firefighter that you learn a lot from your crew members and the people you work with everyday. When it comes to trainings and expert advice, I tend to get input from the crew and see what they think they we need to train on or get better at doing. I also take great pride in knowing that when a task is given to me, its going to be completed to the best of my ability. Whether it is run reports, ems reports, building inspections, or training logs, the documents will be completed in a timely fashion and will be detailed. Along with firefighting, I enjoy working with the schools and talking about fire safety. I am a positive person and I bring great energy to work everyday.
