Prior to my tenure at Bacon PDC/TC i was employed for 13 years at Ware State Prison where I held several positions with the prison from 2010-2012 I was a shift officer, where i maintained offender discipline and sanitation;from 2012-2013 I was assigned as a outside detail officer, where I supervised Offenders in the public where they conducted lawn care and picked up trash. 2013-2017 I was assigned the lead escort officer in our Tier unit(segregation unit),where I managed the day to day operations in the tier unit such as showers, yard call, cell extractions, and medical appointments. During that time was a member of the Georgia Department of Corrections Tactical squad. From 2017-2019 I was assigned to Ware State Prison CERT(correctional emergency response team) where I responds to threats and disturbances through prison. From 2019-2023 i was promoted to the Ware State Prison Security Threat Group Sergeant where IProper Validation of all inmates within their Facility. All documentation should be kept in a file on external hard drive as a backup. Conduct STG validation interview/assessments during All intake and transfer days. Conduct renunciation interviews and assessments; follow up every 30 days. > Discovery of an inmate on a Gang roster should be revalidated or changed in in SCRIBE. > Interview inmates for STG validation as requested by Warden or State and Assistant STG Coordinators. > Properly document and be knowledgeable of inmates in a leadership position of any STG groups. This also includes members with identified positions such as handling money and enforcers involved in violence for the STG > Conduct and assist in shakedowns and searches of STG validated inmates to further information and intelligence. > Whether directed by State STG coordinators or assisting Institutional Investigators, CERT or other correctional units, ALL STG related documents should be collected by STG facility SGT. > This should include proper documentation of where the papers/books were found, which inmate they were taken from. > If assisting or directed to search for a cellular device and the device is located, normal Digital Forensic procedures are to be followed unless otherwise directed by Regional or Statewide STG coordinator (contact regional coordinator). Maintain and develop sources of information inside GDC facilities for gang intelligence. When applicable refer to STG Regional Coordinator before having documented Confidential Informant. Conduct STG interviews following incidents of violence between different STG members or if STG members were victim or suspect and send report via email to the State/Regional STG Coordinator and Warden. > Maintains communication with Warden daily concerning facility STG issues. During my time as the STG Sergeant i was also assigned as the PREA Investigator my duties comprised of administratively investigating claims of sexual assault and sexual harassment with the prison.
