Skills

  • Leadership and Communication I have been fortunate to have worked with excellent leaders in the school setting and with the Chickasaw Nation I know to be a great leader you have to be able to communicate and work with others Everyone who has ever worked with me knows that you lead by example and if you show others how hard you work, then they will follow I treat others with the utmost respect and work on building lasting relationships
  • Public Speaking I have taken public speaking classes with the Chickasaw Nation so I could go out and speak about our programming and events
  • Community Involvement Whether working with the Chickasaws or in the school setting, I have always been a part of the community fabric in some way As Director of Fine Arts, I had the opportunity to travel to Denver, Austin, San Antonio, Phoenix and Dallas to meet with Chickasaws in those communities to talk and share about the programming that our division was doing
  • Problem Solving and Adaptability As an artist, problem solving and adaptability go hand in hand I ask my students to think outside the box and find other solutions to problems With the Chickasaw Nation, adaptability and flexibility are a must when overseeing large events and gatherings
