  • Manage the accounting, finance, tax, operations, and overall fund management of three flagship VC funds, three SPV vehicle funds, all of which are SEC registered funds.
  • Manage the firm’s finance staff domestically. Identify, attract, and retain exceptional talent and manage the team’s professional development. Cultivate a culture of inclusion, knowledge sharing, and team-based success.
  • Manage every aspect of the Investor Relations, participating in fundraising, due diligence, investor questionnaires and, where applicable, side letter negotiations, and responding to inquiries regarding UBTI, ECI, FIRPTA and other tax consequences for ERISA and offshore investors.
  • Work with Galaxy-wide cross functional teams on quarterly and annual public filings, as well as regulatory filings such as Form ADV, Form PF, CIMA filings.
  • Work with the investment deal team and GPs on portfolio company management of 140+ portfolio companies.
  • Built the portfolio company management infrastructure and lead our quarterly valuations and valuation committee meetings consisting of the GPs, President of Galaxy Digital, GC and CFO. Responsible for the drafting, maintenance, and adherence to the firm’s policy for valuation.
  • Execute trades across multiple crypto OTC counterparties to capitalize on market opportunities and maximize returns.
  • Participate in trading discussions and brainstorming sessions to develop effective strategies.
  • Perform trade settlements and calculate performance metrics.
  • Monitor available capital, recycling, and capital requirements at each stage of each fund’s life-cycle. Oversee distributions, performance calculations (IRR/MOIC/DPI), gross-to-net spread analysis, management fees, carried interest, allocation and expense policies.
  • Build and manage all performance tracking at the funds and portfolio company levels.
  • Manage all service providers, OTC trading counterparties, digital asset custodians, fund admin, bank relationships, fund credit facility, etc.
  • Partner with the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer and support the financial aspects of the firm’s compliance program. Partner with the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer to complete examination by the SEC.
  • Develop Interactive franchise budgets and forecast. Manage all firm treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity management, multiple banking relationships and foreign exchange risk management.
  • Extensive experience with US pass-through investment and fund structures, accommodating tax preferences of pensions, tax-exempt, and foreign investors. Assess risks and implement foreign tax strategies.
  • Responsible for the drafting, maintenance, and adherence to the firm’s policy for valuation. Responsible for the assessment and selection of third-party valuation agents, if applicable. Chair the firm’s valuation committee.
