Responsibilities included:

• Taking histories and performing physical examinations, as well as developing assessments and plans for adult and pediatric patients in the acute care setting, and in Fast-Track, and successfully coordinating with attending physicians.
• Other duties including, but not limited to, interpreting lab results, x-rays, EKGs and performing procedures such as suturing, central lines, lumbar punctures, I & D, joint aspiration and other emergent surgical procedures and wound care.
• Prescribed medications in order to treat diagnoses, diseases, and symptoms.
• Calling patients; post-ER visit, to discuss lab work, including culture results, and to coordinate care.
• Calling patients to discuss their satisfaction and care post-ER visit.
• Successfully completing modules and self-learning on proper documentation of splint procedures, critical care, ECGs, Xrays, etc.
• Worked effectively in fast-paced environments.
• Worked flexible hours across night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
