  • Develop two hours of monthly daily-training material and lead two-hour monthly in-service sessions for approximately 15–20 employees, helping lifeguards complete four required training hours each month.

  • Frequently serve as Head Lifeguard and occasionally enter lifeguard rotation to support staffing, direct rotations, supervise deck operations, enforce facility rules, and maintain continuous patron surveillance.
  • Send employee availability polls, schedule monthly in-service sessions, and maintain training records using Microsoft Excel and Teams.
  • Respond to unsafe conditions, patron concerns, difficult interactions, and staffing needs while maintaining professional customer service.
  • Test and document chlorine and pH levels in indoor and outdoor pools and make adjustments using granular chlorine, liquid chlorine, and other pool chemicals.
  • Operate and troubleshoot pump-room equipment, including Stenner pumps, backwashing, and hair traps.
  • Familiar with daily opening and nightly closing procedures and how to safely open/shut down aquatic and facility operations.
  • Inspect facility AEDs and first-aid cabinets to verify proper function, organization, and supply levels.
