  • Design dies, tooling, and weld fixtures for automotive exhaust manufacturing utilizing AutoDesk Inventor.
  • I design and build custom machinery utilizing hydraulics, pneumatics and electromechanical principles. I have built hydraulic presses, custom welding machines with mig, tig and plasma arc, robotic weld cells, resistance welders, orbital welders and various other processing equipment.
  • I select components to be used and specify requirements for all machine control panels being built.
  • I write all machine motion and plc ladder programs. I have used Allen Bradley, Delta, Mitsubishi, Pro-Face and Trio Motion.

Accomplishments

  • Documented and resolved mechanical press breakdowns which led to 100% reduction in failures. In a 3-4 year span the company was spending over $200,000 per year in outside resources repairing the failures and outside resources trying to identify the root cause. Within 6 months of starting on the project I was able to find the solution and implement needed changes. We were able to run 2 more years until the process left our facility with zero failures.
  • Modified a design from a similar type of process and had assembly fixtures built that when launched into the process we were able to remove 12 operators over 3 shifts, increase our productivity all with less than a 1 year payback.
  • I have Hydraulic presses that i designed and built in the USA, Canada and Mexico with 100% customer satisfaction.
