In the winter months I will bid on jobs, meet with customers, go over schedules, and plan for the up coming paving season. In the paving season I will be on the job site making sure things are being done efficiently and according to plan. I also help fill in when needed-such as paving, grading, and milling.

The first 5 years of employment I was the paver driver. In the winter I plowed snow and did miscellaneous jobs. The last 2 years I operated the grader, working with the pulverizer and laying out roads. While paving I would operate the skid loader, picking up extra mix and prep before paving. Occasionally I would operate an excavator for ditching, installing culverts, and odd jobs.

I operated a drill rig and was in charge of other drill rigs. I operated a cable plow followed by operating an excavator to set communication junctions. Also, at times I would break off from the big crew and lead smaller jobs on my own.
