Laser Operator Responsibilities:


  • Reduced material waste through accurate programming of laser cutting parameters for each job order.
  • Worked closely with engineering for custom cut or engraved parts for new products or Trade Shows.
  • Increased overall product quality by conducting regular machine maintenance and calibration checks.

  • Use of appropriate hand tools such as screw drivers, hand held drills, wrenches, crimpers, wire strippers, and solder irons.
  • Solder resisters, jumpers and wires to PCB (printed circuit board) ensuring solder joints met IPC J-STD 001 standards.
  • Assemble light while performing self inspections of work. Also, inspections of hardware, optics, drivers, resistors etc to be in product.
  • Test product for shorts and string test before turning in to quality for burn in.

 Mechanically inclined people are able to intuitively see how things work. Good with tools and machinery, they’re adept at fixing things and are often able to take unfamiliar items apart. I consider myself to be mechanically inclined.
