  • Collaborate with Director of Finance on budget development, monitoring, adjusting, and providing general oversight ($1.5M)
  • Oversee & lead implementation of contract (MTAC) renewal with the NYCDOE, including support of our Director of Finance in price negotiation, as well as managing an extensive NDA & Data Privacy process (“ERMA”)
  • Oversee our DYCD contract registration, communication, and reporting requirements
  • Oversee process and draft org responses to RFPs, often working on sudden and tight timelines to meet deadlines
  • Lead cultivation with potential partners, including recruitment of NYC school, district, and division partners; private institutions, and other agency and community partners
  • Sustain relationships with key Literacy Trust stakeholders, including NYC school leaders, the NYCDOE Literacy Collaborative, staff with the High Impact Tutoring Initiative, Young Men’s Initiative, the LT Board & Advisors, and funders as relevant
  • Lead a small team of full and part-time staff, as well as consultants, in ensuring high-quality program delivery for intervention services, family engagement, workshop offerings, and general consulting for K-5 literacy in schools

  • Oversaw a team of 10 Program Managers, 4 Associate Directors, and additional consultants to ensure program development and implementation for our reading intervention services was highly effective across 125+ schools
  • Oversaw our program evaluation, including policy creation; methods for assessments, surveys, and overall data collection; reporting protocols; and IRB requirements
  • Oversaw all content development, processes & systems, as well as implementation of 1000+ hours of workshops, hundreds of site visits and hours of online coaching, with the aim of ensuring program fidelity with 1500+ reading intervention instructors in the last four years
  • Oversaw development of Literacy Trust’s proprietary online data platform, working closely with development contractors and key staff to ensure appropriate road mapping, testing, deployment
  • Led and contributed to strategy on systems enhancements, organizational growth, content design & development, capacity building, budget planning ($2M), and materials procurement
  • Led the initial & time-sensitive planning for launching four new programs in one year, with a goal of diversifying both our services and our funding model
  • Supported the recruitment & onboarding of new organizational partners to ensure program needs were clearly identified and met
  • Played the lead role in drafting proposals & creating and facilitating presentations for grants, RFPs, and contract renewals that ultimately secured $1.5 million in funds in the last two years
  • Led the hiring process for open positions as relevant, improving systems accordingly as needed

  • Oversaw development of large-scale assessment programs–plus related rubrics, support materials, and trainings– ultimately reviewing, editing, and writing thousands of literacy assessment items and related passages across various progams
  • Managed a team of four Assessment Managers, plus 10+ part-time consultants and 50+ part-time educators
  • Managed vendors to ensure milestones and fiscal agreements were upheld
