I love Social Housing, I joined because I wanted to join Social Housing, not necessarily Housing, although I wanted to join the third sector or charity in some capacity, I feel myself and Social Housing are a good fit. I love serving the streets I’m from, and the communities that formed the adult I have become. I’m not driven by money, or titles, never have been, I’m driven by purpose, and my purpose is clear, it is the customers and communities I serve. My loyalty is not in question, I want to be here for the long term, I want this to be the last job I ever have, and have made that clear from my first day entering the business.
I have always considered myself accountable, it is my business, my service and I have never shied away from putting my hand up if I have responsibility for something wrong,
I don’t hide, I don’t blame that is not my nature, I lead by a strong example, and I lead from the front.
I do not work for my superiors, and I don’t wake up every day thinking what do they want or what would they do, I work for my Team & customers, and what I believe is best for them, and when I say I’m fearless , this is where it manifests itself, I’m not reckless, or cavalier, I just get it and get on with it, if I make mistakes, and there are plenty, I own up to them , learn from them and move on, but they are honest mistakes, searching for what is best practice, not for personal gain. My daily fear Is that I may disappoint down, it breaks my heart to think I would disappoint my team.

I have a wide range of experience across different types of work, including childcare, housekeeping, retail, food service, and warehouse support. Over the years, I’ve built up a strong set of skills by taking on real, hands on jobs where I’ve had to be dependable, adaptable, and ready to learn. Whether I was working independently for family and friends or as part of a team in fast paced environments, I’ve always focused on doing my best, staying organized, and treating people with respect.
I’m someone who works well on my own, managing time and responsibilities without needing constant direction. At the same time, I really enjoy working with others and know how to communicate clearly and contribute to a team. I’ve learned how to stay calm and focused under pressure, how to solve problems as they come up, and how to make sure the people I’m helping, whether they’re customers, clients, other team members or kids, feel supported and taken care of.
I take pride in being reliable, honest, and easy to work with. I care about doing things the right way and paying attention to the little details that make a big difference. No matter what kind of work I’m doing, I always aim to leave a positive impact. I am a graduate of the Business Communications program with honours at Brock University. During my spare time, you can find me bettering myself in any way that I can, whether it’s physically or mentally, I always want to get improve. I’ve worked at a variety of jobs, including working at Hillfield Strathallan College’s summer camp as a counsellor and my most recent position, that being an advisor at Best Buy for customers. These positions have led me to having great communication skills with a wide variety of ages and personalities. I have played soccer at a very high level for essentially my entire life, so I understand the importance of hard work ethic in order to achieve my goals. I am an extremely motivated person and my commitment and work ethic will not go unnoticed. I am a friendly sales advisor that is knowledgeable about various products and skilled at connecting customers with any solutions needed. I am also adept at listening to needs and conveying information to them in the easiest ways so that they understand. However at the same time, I can offer amazing sales and service expertise that will allow me to close the sales. In addition, I was compassionate and dedicated camp counsellor with a diverse youth activities background that allowed me to be organizational, have great time management and communications skills which lead to to positive outcomes for the job and everything going forward. I also gained knowledge from the trades industry that allowed me to be enthusiastic and eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. This allowed me to understand the importance in having a clear understanding of any task given and this gave me the knowledge of how tough some jobs really are for some people. Overall I am a motivated individual and excited for my next challenge ahead.
