General Statement of Duties:
I perform responsibilities associated with the Accounting/Finance Department, primarily concentrating on payroll, benefits, leave, and attendance. A key job function involves data entry into the payroll system: calculating wages and deductions, and updating payroll records, as well as preparing payroll reports. I also prepare and submit payroll system data for automatic deposits.
I maintain the payroll and benefits database. An additional responsibility includes reviewing wages and benefit calculations and rectifying any errors. I record and input changes that impact net wages and benefits. Furthermore, I generate periodic reports detailing earnings, benefits, taxes, and deductions. I keep track of leave, pay, and nontaxable wages. I ensure that payroll, taxes, and benefits are prepared and submitted by deadlines for electronic deposit. I also process insurance benefit bills for payment. Additionally, I reconcile payroll and payroll taxes and prepare records for monthly payroll journal entries related to payroll and benefit expenses. I assist both new and current employees with their setup in IVisions.
