
I am an entry-level Sterile Processing Technician who recently completed the Sterile Processing Technician Program at Nebraska Methodist College in Omaha, NE (2025-10–2025-11). I am seeking a Sterile Processing Technician position in your hospital to complete the 400 hours of hands-on experience required for CRCST exam eligibility. I have foundational knowledge in decontamination, cleaning, basic sterilization methods, instrument identification, tray assembly, infection prevention, and PPE use. My previous work as a night stocker, production operator, food prep/server, and substitute teacher has strengthened my attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, time management, and comfort with fast-paced, physical work. I am willing to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, and I am eager to learn hospital standards, follow IFUs, and support safe, high-quality patient care in the Sterile Processing Department.
Decontamination & Sterilization: Understanding of decontamination steps, basic sterilization methods, and sterile processing workflow
Instrument Identification & Tray Assembly: Able to identify basic surgical instruments and assemble trays accurately and efficiently
Infection Prevention & PPE: Knowledge of standard precautions, proper PPE use, and maintaining a clean, safe work area
Quality Assurance & Attention to Detail: Follows IFUs, inspects instruments/trays carefully, and documents work accurately
Teamwork, Reliability & Time Management: Works well with SPD/OR staff, is dependable and punctual, and performs well in fast-paced, physical environments
