Summary

My ultimate goal for my future is to receive an opportunity to be employed at the Hanford site. I understand there are a lot of different areas that someone can explore for employment. I feel like I can fit in and be effective anywhere. I see myself getting my foot in the door and putting myself in a position to be successful with a great team.

Work History

CDL Truck Driver

Coleman oil LLC
Kennewick
11.2024 - Current
  • In November of 2024, I was promoted to delivering fuel.
  • Operation a tank wagon that can hold up to 5,800 gallons of fuel.
  • I was successfully trained to load our trucks at the loading plant in Pasco; that plant is called Tidewater Terminal Company.
  • An operator had to physically watch me perform a successful load from the tidewater tanks into our fuel trucks, which granted a tidewater card that gives me access through the gate.
  • Making the rounds daily to our customers, which consist of farms, construction sites, local businesses, and even residential homeowners.
  • In the fuel hauling industry, there is no room for error, from driving on the road to making sure the tanks don't overflow, and ensuring you are pumping off the correct fuel to begin with.

CDL Truck Driver

Coleman Oil LLC
Kennewick
05.2023 - 11.2024
  • In May of 2023, I was hired to be the lube driver for Coleman Oil, operating a flatbed straight truck delivering products such as motor oils, hydraulic oils, different types of grease, and different types of antifreezes.
  • We practice safe driving every single day, and it starts with a mandatory pre-trip inspection, often checking tires or listening for any weird noises in between deliveries, and finishing off the day with a post-trip inspection, checking for any leaks or any visible mechanical issues that could have been caused by having the truck on the road that day.
  • Maintaining a truck book that holds the truck's registration, insurance, certificates, and licenses that are required by the DOT. Making sure that nothing is expired, and everything is valid to pass any random inspection coming our way.

Forklift Operator

Lineage Logistics LLC
Kennewick
07.2021 - 02.2023
  • As time went by, management rotated the operators to different areas. I first started pulling and putting away pallets of agricultural foods into a very large freezer that was kept at -10 degrees. While operating a stand-up forklift or a sit-down forklift.
  • Eventually, I made my way to operating a push-pull forklift to load orders on slip sheets into the back of a reefer trailer, which was also set to -10 degrees.
  • I even offloaded trucks with a forklift that had double forks to unload two pallets at once.
  • Oftentimes, I was in charge of leading a team of three to four people to successfully load a full railroad car, using a push pull forklift to load the product on slip sheets, making sure all the paperwork was correct, and the temperatures of the product met the lineage standards and policy.

Forklift Operator

Western Materials LLC
Pasco
06.2020 - 07.2021
  • My daily shift consisted of providing customer service every single day for will-call orders and customers who placed orders over the phone for pickup.
  • I pulled orders that were made up of roofing materials, several different types of fencing blocks, or even drywall. The general construction supplies for contractors and local business owners.
  • I loaded and unloaded freight trucks daily with materials that were kept in our inventory.
  • I excelled well at this job in the customer service aspect considering majority of our customers were hispanics who preferred speaking Spanish over English.

Truck Loader

Grimmway Farms
Pasco
06.2019 - 08.2019
  • My daily shift consisted of operating a conveyor belt that loaded carrots into the back of reefer trailers. Often, being the person in the back of the trailer, I make sure the carrots stay level while we have the driver gradually pull forward until his trailer is loaded from front to back.
  • Making sure the reefers were washed out and safe for the carrots to be transported to their next destination.
  • Double-checking the temperature on the reefer units to meet the standard for the plant.
  • After the truck was done being loaded, we would communicate which truck was next in line and track it down to appoint it to its lane so it could get washed out and loaded.
