Broadcast Engineer N1
- Support and maintain live broadcast, transmission, and playout systems in a 24x7 TOC/MCR environment
- Troubleshoot audio/video, routing, multicast, and signal flow issues to minimize service interruptions
- Work with platforms and equipment including AWS, Nimbra Edge, Haivision, Multiple Evertz products, Utah Scientific Router, Nevion Protection switches, Net Insight, TAG Monitoring, Synamedia, various playout systems like, Cinegy, Inetsat and Grass Valley
- Monitor and troubleshoot live contribution and distribution feeds across fiber, satellite, and IP workflows
- Assist TOC with service checks, failovers, and troubleshooting during outages and live events
- Coordinate with engineering teams, operations, vendors, and clients to resolve technical issues and maintain service reliability
- Use monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Boro, Graylog, DekTek TSA, Dataminer, TAG, and Sentry-Medius
- Create and maintain Visio diagrams, SOPs, and operational documentation for workflows and system configurations
Team Supervisor – TOC - Led and supported a team of broadcast operators to ensure execution of Adhoc events while maintaining a 24x7 operation
- Oversaw daily operations, delegated tasks, and led escalations during live events and outages
- Participated in management meetings and contributed process improvement ideas to enhance operational workflows
- Ensured operators followed reporting procedures and client communication standards
TOC Technician - Supported live and full-time broadcast services, ensuring operational stability and timely execution of events
- Configured and managed operational resources including antennas, IRDs, encoders, decoders, converters, and monitoring systems
- Used service diagrams and monitoring tools to troubleshoot A/V quality issues, transport problems, and equipment failures
- Collaborated with engineering and network teams to resolve technical issues during live broadcasts
- Monitored fiber and IP transport performance using Nimbravision and related monitoring tools
- Used Dataminer for alarming, source failovers, and equipment monitoring
Opened and followed up on trouble tickets with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure timely resolution - Maintained professional communication with clients during outages, maintenance activities, and live event support
