Ericka Melton

While working at Sage Elementary I have had the privilege of having a very unique position. I spend a few hours of my day working as a teaching assistant, teaching small groups and working closely with the kindergarten team. For the remaining hours I work in our Owls Nest. In the Owls Nest I'm responsible for giving students sensory breaks, running our check in and out system and working with students on self regulation strategies. I work closely with teachers and our administration to help students who may need a little extra support throughout their day. I also am responsible for a lunch duty and an after school cross walk duty. I take pride in being a team player and showing up when their is a need. I work very hard to do my part in providing a safe space for every student to learn and grow.

While working at Anytime fitness I oversaw the front office. I was responsible for selling memberships. I worked with the gym members to ensure that they had what they needed while they were in the gym. I worked with other staff to ensure that the gym was clean and safe for our member.

While I was an in-home caregiver I was responsible for four children under the age of 3. I worked closely with the children's families to ensure that each child had their individual needs met while they were in my care. I worked to provide a fun, loving and enriching environment for their young minds to learn and grow in.
