Dedicated Speech Language Pathologist with over 25 years of professional experience specializing in play-based, multi-sensory therapy techniques with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, severe language disorders, feeding problems and early intervention. Extensive in-home, in-school and clinic-based experience. Other specialties include, Oral and Myofacial therapies, Parent Coaching and Hospice Care for children and adults. Objective is to return to the school setting and provide quality and effective speech and language therapy to many more children regardless of socio-economic status and cultural differences.
The focus of this Specialized Master's degree was to incorporate the arts into classroom learning and further my study in best practices for teaching and learning. I was selected to be on a committee for developing arts in education standards for the California Board of Education as well as provide staff development throughout Northern Central California.
My degree track included meeting the requirements for a Rehabilitative Services Credential for Speech Language and Hearing Specialist with Special Day Class Authorization.
