Assisted child and adolescent residents with their daily needs including, but not limited to grooming (toileting/diapering, hair care, dressing, etc.), applying splints and braces, mobility (lifting individuals, using adapted lifting equipment, pushing individuals in their wheelchairs, etc.), following individualized feeding plans for meals, and participating in scheduled or spontaneous activities both at the Home and in the community.

Implemented support programs as defined by an individual’s ISP and demonstrated accurate data collection procedures to document progress on skill development and achievement.

Served as a role model for residents by demonstrating desired behaviors, approved physical intervention techniques to protect individuals and others, and coaching individuals using approved techniques or strategies.

Worked on an interdisciplinary teach of Direct Support Professional, Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Kitchen staff, and others to ensure the best quality of life for the individuals who reside there.

Implemented age appropriate lesson plans and created additional developmentally appropriate activities for children ranging in age from 2 and a half to 5 years old.

Maintained classroom decorum through the use of behavioral management techniques such as positive reinforcement, encouragement, and redirection.

Organized the classroom and maintained a safe and healthy learning environment both indoors and outdoors.

Maintained appropriate and ongoing communication with parents or guardians of children including, but not limited to, attendance, behavior, injuries, progression of learning.
