  • Conducted a small-scale, four-month research project using ethnographic research and a critical medical anthropological approach
  • Compiled surveys, interviews, and field notes and used participant observation for two groups, including six reproductive healthcare workers and five women from a local mother’s group
  • Analyzed the doctor-patient relationship between reproductive healthcare providers and women to understand further the differences in patient care, perceptions, and previous experiences in lower and middle-class women
  • Designed an online visual aid for Monmouth University Scholarship Week containing my research findings and methodology

  • Researched the consequences on the American healthcare system post the overturn of Roe v. Wade in June 2022 through an analysis of state and federal abortion policies and limitations
  • Considering the limitations and historical roots leading up to the creation of Roe v. Wade and the policies and restrictions affecting women that passed through state governments in active Roe years
  • Sought the differences in reproductive healthcare outcomes, accessibility, and strategies between conservative and progressive state governments working to either expand or restrict abortion
  • Analyzed how the effects negatively impacted three distinct groups, including women within the reproductive ages of 15-49 years, reproductive health care physicians, and medical students
