I have been writing a children's mystery series that I have self published since 2016. There are currently seven books in the series, with an eight one in its early stages. In the process of writing my books, I have taken some classes in book writing over the years. I have brought the lessons that I have learned about writing and its process to my students. This includes not only the mechanics of writing, but also the brainstorming, drafting, editing and revisions processes. We have discussed and practiced the reading, spelling, and grammar aspects of writing using multiple methods. I also have strategies and resources to help break through writer's block.
