Providing relief for school nurses throughout Richardson ISD as a substitute school nurse. Covering a variety of schools and a diverse group of students with chronic health conditions. Ensuring student safety and health promotion in the absence of regularly assigned nurse.

• Managed high clinic traffic schools, both at elementary and secondary levels. On average, triaging and treating 35 students per day, including children with chronic health conditions like diabetes.
• Supported staff in clinical leadership role as autonomous healthcare provider in an education setting – a consultant to educators, healthcare leader and case manager for medically fragile children.
• Collaborated with individuals, groups, and families to implement health programs and provide resources designed to improve overall health of communities.
• Monitored ongoing medical conditions such as asthma or diabetes, adjusting care plans accordingly to maintain optimal student wellness levels.

• Provided health education and triaging services over phone with members of Tricare, military personnel and their spouses and children stationed all over the world.
• Improved patient outcomes with thorough assessment, identification of potential issues, and prompt intervention via telehealth consultations.
• Deescalated members and provided education in the midst of growing tensions and fears of COVID19, reducing healthcare costs.

• Conducted the nursing process to care for adult patients on a progressive care unit, largely focused on care of patients following cardiac procedures and treatments necessitated by acute MI, cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure.
• Prevented complications by closely monitoring each patient and promptly responding to changes in patient status.
• Collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to develop optimal treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

• Managed complex medication regimens for cardiac patients, ensuring proper dosing, timely administration, and monitoring for potential drug interactions or side effects.
