I was over several areas within this position including:
- Housewares; I spent 6 months in position, within that time I learn to properly merchandise a large area, I also developed strategies to increase team productivity and improve customer service levels.
- Electronics; I was in this position for a year and a half, I learned to manage a high compliance area, while learning the importance of sales within that area. I provided leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring that tasks were completed on time and to a high standard. I also gained experience training new staff in relevant processes and procedures.
- Sporting goods; My most current role, I have learned even higher compliance in this area, along with stepping into a larger role within the store while branching out to be a total store team lead. I have collaborated with other departments to develop effective solutions that meet customer needs, and to improve customer service, along with assisting management in setting achievable goals for the team while monitoring progress towards them.
