Volunteer Experience

  • Rosemont Baptist Church, LaGrange, GA, Missions has always been a very special part of my life. I have had the privilege of serving not only my local community, but also communities around the world through the opportunities that my church has offered. I hope to continue to serve the missions community as I expand in my healthcare experience so that I am able to continuously give back to those around me and around the world.
  • Mission Trip to New Day Orphanage, Zambia, South Africa, Through church outreach, I had the opportunity to travel to New Day Orphanage in 2015 and 2017. Our team was involved in a variety of programs including teaching in the local schools, leading bible studies, and traveling to local villages to create relationships and talk more about Jesus. I established some of the most meaningful friendships during my time in Zambia and I learned what it truly meant to care for someone. I hope to return sometime soon to continue to provide my services as a way to care for and connect with others.
  • Laundromat Missions, LaGrange, Georgia, My church created a community outreach program known as Mission LaGrange in order to reach people that might not have the necessary resources to attend church. Specifically, I participated in a program that allowed us to travel to the community laundromat and pay for individuals to wash their clothes. During the process of the laundry being washed, we were able to talk with the customers, get to know their story, and discuss Jesus with them. This led to prayer, invitation to church, and friendships. It is a very rewarding experience to speak to people that you may pass on the street every day and learn more about them.
