Erin Joyce

During the summer, I began working as a teacher's assistant in a classroom ages 10-12 through Jawonio's Summer Education Program. As a teacher's assistant, I helped facilitate the classroom and coordinated with the teacher and other teacher's assistants to make every day worth while and educational for our students. In addition, we would often break into small groups where I would individually work with our kids on various skills. Working at Jawonio has been a crucial step in learning how to manage a classroom and understand how to connect with my students in a way that bets fits their needs.
