• Works together professionally with emergency room department staff and co-workers to complete assignments.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable and hazard free environment for patients/visitors
• Perform patient checks and document their safety every 15 minutes or as indicated. Provide suicide watch to patients needing it to ensure their safety.
• Assist patients with belongings, attend to their needs, deliver meals, monitor intake and assist with patient care needs.
• Maintain and promote a therapeutic milieu
• Encourage patient conversations, participation in therapy and act as a liaison between the patient and staff.
