After completing a civilian fellowship in neurosurgery (1990-1991) and a civilian internship in general surgery (1991-1992), I entered the Army to complete my obligation as a Captain. In 1992, I was stationed in Seoul, Korea at the 121st Evacuation Hospital as a staff emergency medicine physician. In 1993, I was stationed at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio, Texas in the neurosurgery department. In 1995, I spent several months in the Troop Medical Clinic at BAMC where I was Honorably Discharged in January 1996. I was a Major in the Army Inactive Reserves until I resigned my commission.
