• Responsible for over 180 nurses and paramedics education for acute care level patients being cared for in the home environment.
• Involved in creating an entirely new orientation for the Home Hospital program. Established relationship with STRATUS Simulation Center to create opportunities for simulation for orientation.
• Performed new-hire orientation and training for onboarding employees.
• Conducted needs assessments to identify gaps in performance and develop targeted learning solutions.
• Analyzed and evaluated training effectiveness and program outcomes.

• Visits include vitals, assessments, lab draws, IV med administration, med reconciliation, and more
• Common conditions treated by Home Hospital include heart failure, COPD, pneumonia, skin infections such as cellulitis, and urinary tract infections.

• Responsible for care of surgical oncology patients. Patient populations include post-GI surgery, whipple, lap sleeve gastrectomy, etc
• Roles: unit nurse, charge nurse, preceptor.
• Conducted thorough patient assessments to identify changes in condition, promptly notifying physicians and initiating appropriate interventions when necessary.
• Assisted in the training and mentorship of new nursing staff members, contributing to a positive work environment and high-quality patient care.
• Served as a preceptor for 3 nursing students during their clinical rotations and multiple new nurses to the unit, providing valuable real-world experience and guidance to foster professional growth.

Responsible for care of Neonatal ICU patients

• The NICU consists of 119 beds, with ages ranging from neonates to newborns to infants
• Assessed, evaluated, and cared for neonate and pediatric patients.
• Provided emotional support to families during critical stages in the NICU, fostering trust and open communication.
• Trained for specific NICU practices as well as continuing to work and build on skills including critical thinking, education/teaching, and many more.

• Responsible for care of COVID patients
• Population of patients included oncology, trauma, burn, psychiatric, OB/postpartum, general medicine, geriatrics, and everything in between.
• Floor nurse responsibilities: Responsible for obtaining vital signs, administering medications, drawing labs, placing IVs, monitoring, and fulfilling any nursing orders that providers prescribed. I also educated and involved patients in their care
• Responsibilities as charge nurse were to check equipment each shift, help the floor nurses with whatever was needed, perform patient rounding, help to resolve any conflicts, help with any rapid responses/codes, and creating the assignments for the next shift.
