Ethiopian Communication Satellite (ETCOMSAT)

  • A communication satellite project that was planned to be launched in 2024.
  • My main role in this project was on a feasibility study and frequency coordination for the satellite.

Beacon Satellite Receiver

  • Beacon satellite receiver installation for Ionospheric Total Electron Content (TEC) study and mapping software development.
  • Chief Engineer in satellite receiver system design and installation.

Earth Observation CubeSat 

  • Take part in the first-hand design and simulation of the camera payload and communication architecture of the Cube Satellite.

Ethiopian Remote Sensing Satellite

  • The ETRSS 1 (Ethiopian Remote Sensing Satellite) is Ethiopia's first satellite, which will provide data on changes in climate and weather-related phenomena that will be utilized for the country's key targets in agriculture, forestry, and natural resources protection initiatives.
  • My main role in this project was the design of the communication subsystem and image processing.
