
Been working under construction new and old. Have advance all the way from a helper to a journeyman to being a supervisor under construction, then I started my career with Freeport as an electrician to where I am now as diagnostic.
Job duties are to maintain the plant running to make copper I work at the mill over 550 motors and different transmitters from pressure to flow density PH probes. Also am in charge of PM the plant from greasing motors to calibrating instruments.
Work from voltages that range 4160 down to 24.
Troubleshoot relays, starters, lighting circuits, a little bit of everything a mill consists of .
Have installed VFDS. Toshiba, dan foss and have been sent out to training for them.
Recently I started a new career path with Kinder Morgan more in depth with instrumentation and calibration as well as logic controls. Have don some training in control programming.
Came back to work for Freeport Mcmoran, mill E/I department were I served as a relieve supervisor, tested up on a written exam and hands on exam to become a certified diagnostic electrician. Currently helping to mentor other coworkers in troubleshooting purposes from testing voltages , identifying electrical systems to commissioning and supervising projects to help improve our coworkers and our mills. I am seeking a new opportunity to help improve my skills and expand my learning in the same role or as supervisory roles.
