  • Start position was welding stubs onto Anode Rods. We had a diverse number daily we had to achieve.
  • Acquired a Maintenance position. Worked in Carbon Bake Maintenance for 2 years. Replaced fan bearings, and changed AC units on overhead cranes.
  • Been to Nucor Hickman and Big River Steel for many shutdowns.
  • Worked with installing and dismantling gearboxes and motors for conveyer belts and rolling tables.
  • Got certified for operating Forklifts, Manlift, Skytrack, Bobcat and Kubota.

  • During the week we would get assigned to a pot to be repaired or rebuilt. The building process was performed from the measurements of the floor. The repair action was simple, whenever the pot ran out we would examine the Cathode blocks making sure they can continue. After the examination we patch the spot and restart it.
