I am eager to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy because it offers the ideal environment to pursue my passions for learning, leadership, and service. The Academy’s rigorous STEM programs, particularly in Cyber Science and Mechanical Engineering, align with my academic interests and will challenge me to grow intellectually and personally. Most importantly, I am committed to serving my country, and I believe the Academy will best prepare me with the skills, discipline, and character needed for a meaningful career of service.
My family has a proud legacy of service: my grandfather served as a First Sergeant in the Air Force during World War 2, my uncle retired as a Full Bird Colonel in the Air Force, and my mother followed in their footsteps, beginning in the Air Force before transitioning to the Army National Guard, and now the California State Guard. My father also served globally through the Peace Corps, embodying a commitment to public service in a different but equally meaningful way. Their legacy of dedication and commitment to service has shaped my values and strengthened my resolve to carry that tradition forward by serving my country as a cadet at the United States Air Force Academy.
I grew up in Arroyo Grande, CA, where I developed a strong competitive spirit and work ethic through years of playing sports. As captain of the varsity wrestling team and co-president of my school’s backpacking club, I have learned to lead by example, persevere through challenges, and motivate others to reach new goals. Driven and focused, I approach every opportunity with determination and purpose.
