- Pre-work ahead through all work orders
- Place meeting with crew to relay specifics of work orders given.
- Begin operator duties placing or removing any specifications asked for on each core for what each work order describes such as types of print plates, colors, date codes, latex, and wax.
- #1-2 Emboss if applied are placed with clamps set straight in place upon top ply break system.
- #3 Emboss Requiring angle set up with its glue pot and tension devise in line with the top ply break systems feeding top ply in a straight line to the tube itself.
- Assist crew in their job details amidst set ups for each specified order to shave down set up times following a stack chart.
- Set angles for each of the machines sections the festoon, gluepot, and winder belt.
- Locked out and tagged the machines pneumatic/power sources following company guidelines and procedures.
- Fed different width sized paper around mandrel metal bars that varied in sizes to create different diameter sized tubes that would be fed down the machines troughs that lift tube into machines saw where correct sized blades cut into.
- Take samples at the start of every tube to inspect quality at the start of every order.
- Periodically check quality of tubes during each order to insure quality shipments.
- Use forklifts to obtain packaging supplies/push productivity if lift driver is unavailable.
- Use paper lift to grab correct size width of paper to then flip into paper bins when paper lift driver is unavailable.
- Maintained cleanliness and organization of work area to enhance productivity.
- Participated in training sessions to improve operational skills and safety awareness.
- Assisted in training new operators, sharing knowledge of best practices and promoting a culture of teamwork amongst peers.
