Role Summary:

Responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and securing a VMware environment primarily hosting Windows servers, along with a few Linux servers supporting miscellaneous services. Additionally, managed Microsoft 365, Door Access Control, and Phone Services. Led projects to establish a fully independent environment for the Computer Information Systems and Security department and contributed to hosting cybersecurity events.

  • Led project to standup a network and virtual environment for Computer Information Systems and Security department. Providing access for faculty and students to a virtual sandbox, lab systems, and a platform for cybersecurity events and competitions.
  • Lowered the attack surface of the school's environment by remediating over a 1000 vulnerabilities.
  • Started open conversations with multiple departments as a department liaison for the ITS department to optimize workflows
  • Created a solution to connect our Hybrid domain with our new alert system by writing a script allowing our different user groups to seamlessly access panic buttons from their phones.
  • Initiated and led discussions with vendors to establish academic partnerships with industry leaders, including VMware, Palo Alto, Cisco, Microsoft, and Red Hat.
