As a young adult I have acquired a unique blend of work experience and curated skillsets. During my time as a coffee barista for Coffee Hub, a local business in my hometown of Xenia, OH, I learned to maintain a level head during fast-paced, high-demand work hours, work effectively in a small workspace, often by myself, to accomplish a large task load systemically and quickly during closing shifts. I also learned excellent customer service by making people feel welcome and at ease in conversation, showing consideration and care with their complaints and striving to rectify mistakes and meet their standards when they communicated that they had not been met. As a Fulfillment Associate for Lowe's, I expanded my customer service skills and added limited powered equipment experience and specified technology and inventory practice to my skillset. I delved into my desire to nurture youth development and care for individuals as a camp counselor for Fox Valley Christian Action, driving my decision to switch my college major from Communication to Social Work and clarifying my desire to serve the community. Becoming a third-shift cleaning associate for DJ & D cleaning company tested my endurance and flexibility, gifted me with invaluable team building and detail-attentiveness, and enhanced my teachability, humility, conflict resolution, and communication skills. Finally, as a warehouse associate at Springfield's Aldi Distribution Center, I have acquired physical endurance, agility, high-speed decision-making, and skills involving the ability to perform multiple tasks at once in a timely fashion, while in constant motion.
