Worked alongside the normal company labor gang and helped out with doing manual labor such as sweeping, painting, and cleaning rooms. Most of my time was spent in the coal yard helping to shovel coal and checking to make sure belts were running properly. This was a job for college students that the company offered during the summers while the colleges students were out of classes.
