As a successful FBLA participant I have shown my ability to effectively collaborate with others, communicate and present in an engaging manner, and work well under pressure just like I did in my Impromptu Speaking event. My curiosity and ambition to improve things around me has cultivated my impressive problem solving skills. From spending hours fixing broken X-Box controllers in grade school to taking apart and installing new hardware in my computer I'm always looking for a solution. My Volunteering and Laborer experience has developed my concrete determination and perseverance skills.

- This year, I got first place in my marketing presentation and testing event at WLC with my partner, and we will continue to study and practice to succeed at the state conference.
- I have developed my collaboration and communication skills through my Sports and Entertainment Management event, where I had to work with my teammates to develop strategies to improve a local soccer team. I learned to play my role and study specific things such as marketing and promotional planning, market segmentation, and supply chain variations all while supporting my teammates and holding them accountable.
- I have improved my confidence and speaking skills by competing in Impromptu Speaking at the state level in my junior year of high school.
- Presenting a fictional eruption of Mt. Rainer and its catastrophic consequences in my collaborative Broadcast Journalism event taught me to present in a more empathetic and meaningful way. I went back and forth with my partner and learned to build off of their ideas and present our topic in a cohesive, engaging manner.
