Originally, I was introduced to mental health and suicide prevention through Hope Squad in 6th grade. Since then I have had first-hand experience helping those with suicidal thoughts. From these experiences, I have become increasingly passionate about spreading mental health resources to my peers along with anyone who is in need. That is why I joined the Hope Means Nevada Teen Hope Network and is why I want to play a bigger part in mental health awareness by being a chair. I spearheaded fundraising initiatives, raising thousands for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Through the Hope Means Nevada community, I was given the opportunity to be part of a youth panel and significantly contributed to children's mental health awareness, showcasing strong leadership and student engagement capabilities.
