I do not know who nominated me at the time and did not know about it the award until my nurse manager called me into his office and presented me

with the nomination and date and time of the presentation.  I was so surprised and never knew who for sure nominated , but had a good I idea.  She was a student nurse on the floor and she worked with me for several shifts while finishing her clinical hours.  After be hired by the hospital, I was

appointed her preceptor.

She was very eager to learn and the capacity to take on new challenges and wanted to learn and experience every thing.  I worked on the cardiac

telemetry unit, heart catheterizations, infusions as well as daily patient care.  She was a very caring, companionate nurse who was not afraid of challenges.

The award ceremony was a wonderful time and I was so Blessed to be nominated.
