As the primary facilitator of the recent AACN's National Teaching Institute in Denver, I was responsible for planning, coordinating, managing & ensuring that the group met all the deadlines for the live & virtual presentations.

Clinical Scene Investigator (CSI) graduate where I was able to create positive changes and improve nurse retention by using the Healthy Work Environment (HWE) standards.

Quality Academy Program (QAP) graduate where I was able to improve patient's experiences & outcomes through a systematic & formal approach.

Apart from my leadership & rotating charge nurse role, I continued to educate & train new nurses. I also worked with management to identify & implement initiatives that aimed to increase nurse staff retention, morale & satisfaction.

As a skin care resource nurse, I teach, supervise, monitor & prevent pressure ulcers from developing by constant repositioning, providing good skin & perineal care, ensuring adequate nutrition, creating care plans for patients in high risk & assisting management when reporting to the JCAHO, if necessary.

As the hand hygiene champion, I ensure that proper hand hygiene is performed at all times.

Teaches and coaches new RNs, travelers & nursing students by providing useful feedback, setting learning objectives, teaching hospital policies & procedures and protocols & encouraging critical thinking.
