• We studied lipid mediators, which are small lipid molecules that are responsible for inducing cellular responses to inflammation and other stimuli. These compounds were small lipid molecules named specialized pro-resolving mediators (SPMs). For the first time, these molecules were identified as active mediators of inflammatory resolution. Our goal was to further work up the profile of these molecules in particular in the Context of the inflammatory disease atherosclerosis.
