• Development team leader responsible for designing, implementing and system testing a new interface for the legacy medical
  management system to the new core claims adjudication system. Project required converting 300 application modules and 150
  supporting report programs/subsystems to leverage new core functionality and modified data structures.

• Developed system interfaces that migrated Enrollment/Billing information from a new corporate membership system, to divisional legacy support systems.
• Developed an Electronic Enrollment interface system that allows entire employer groups to be electronically enrolled from legacy systems to new corporate health care system.

• Worked as a Business Analyst in support of users in the Pricing/Fee Schedule areas. Analyzed user requests for system development and modifications, and translated their requests into formal requirements definition documents. Acted as a liaison between user community and technical development staff to resolve any issues during system development. Responsible for system testing new development to ensure compliance with developed test plans.

• Designed, developed and implemented a Medical Precertification and Referral system. This system is used for authorizing and managing medical services rendered to HMO members. Designed and developed the interface of this module to the corporate claims processing system, member system, and provider tracking system.
• Designed, Developed, and implemented a Concurrent Review system. This system is used for tracking appropriateness of care and medical necessity decisions for inpatient admissions. Designed and developed the interface of this module with the precertification system as well as the claims system, member system, and provider tracking system.
• Designed, developed and implemented a Medical Case Management System. This system is used for tracking and managing care on catastrophic cases, HIV cases, and high risk pregnancies. System includes screening assessment tools as well as a complete cost analysis module. Designed and developed conversion programs for moving old case management data stored in client database to the corporate transaction system. Designed and developed the interface of this module with all other Medical and administrative systems.
• Designed, developed and implemented an End User Reporting system. System allows users to produce claims related ad-hoc reports and downloads without intervention from IS staff.
• Converted and redesigned a Provider Profiling system. This system is a report card mechanism that compares provider's practice habits to one another. Replaced legacy programs with more functional and efficient modules.

• Designed, developed, and implemented a marketing research and sales management tool for suppliers to the plastic processing industry. Implementation was client server based. Wrote supportive software on the corporate ERP system for entry and management of collected marketing data.
• Designed, developed, and implemented an accounts receivable trade system which allows financial ledger data received in a number of different formats, to be transformed and loaded into the central database.
• Re-designed SQL databases and re-wrote all programs for company's interactive customer service module.
  Corporate objective was to increase the modules performance and functionality, while at the same time, improving overall system performance. Improvements yielded a fifty percent increase in overall system performance.
