As part of the Bruce Steele Team:

• Worked in Bruce Steele Garden
• Weeded various beds, turned beds, planted vegetables
• Watered greenhouse
• Dried Herbs
• Fed and watered chickens

As part of the Native Restoration Team:

• Worked on Fiji Hill
• Weeded specific areas of the Hill
• Planted, watered, and mulched the area around native plants

• Delivered food to customers inside the bar and outside the restaurant.
• Packed up to-go food and handed it to customers or food delivery companies outside
• Worked as a cashier and took orders
• Trained newly hired employees to get familiar with the food and kitchen
• Restocked drinks and tableware in the kitchen.
• Set up, took down, and kept tidy the outside dining area
• Helped bartenders by clearing the surfaces of glassware during slower kitchen hours
• Wiped down surfaces and took out trash at end of shift

WWOOF is a work exchange program. I worked in Seldovia, Alaska for a month for free in exchange for room and board. We completed various tasks:

• Helped maintain gardens and greenhouses by weeding, watering, transplanting, fertilizing, planting, and organizing
• Filled in for shopkeeper at Thyme on Boardwalk by checking out customers
• Assisted in cooking meals
• Ran errands around town, including hanging flyers to advertise events, picking up packages and sending mail, and helping set up and take down community events (garage sale, farmers market)
• Greeted guests staying in the suite or cottage, cleaned cottage before new guests arrived
• Did paid gardening work on the side for a resident of Seldovia

• Took orders and operated cash register
• Kept shop tidy and sanitary by sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, washing dishes, taking out trash
• Set up and took down outside eating area
• Made frozen yogurt for the day
• Prepared frozen yogurt cups for online orders
• Refilled toppings containers and cut up fruit

• Canvassed for District Supervisor candidate by distributing informational pamphlets throughout District 7 in San Francisco

• Cared for house plants and garden by frequently watering during owners' absence
• Managed mail and packages delivered

• Played games, worked on puzzles, and read books to children
• Prepared healthy, age-appropriate snacks and meals
• Helped with children's homework
