I know resumes generally show the last ten years of an applicant's work history, and I'd like to explain why mine does not. In early 1999, I took an indefinite leave from my job as an American Airlines flight attendant to stay home with my newborn. After having my second child in 2002, I officially resigned. In 2007, I began homeschooling and continued to do so until my youngest graduated in 2020. During that time, I taught at a local homeschool co-op and eventually organized and operated a co-op with another homeschool mom. That endeavor challenged me, sharpened my organization and customer service skills, and forced me to be more disciplined and take the initiative to reach set goals.
