Hello! I advocate for individuals navigating emotional, developmental, and psychological challenges. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Sacramento State on May 17, 2025, after years of hands-on experience in special education and mental health. I’m now preparing to begin a master’s in Counseling Psychology, with the goal of becoming an LMFT and LPCC. I plan to focus on emergency mental health and counseling across the lifespan, especially for people with autism, ADHD, and those in the LGBTQ+ community. My goal is to help build coping tools, self-advocacy, and a strong sense of safety and belonging, to foster better outcomes. I hope to eventually open a private practice that provides affordable, accessible mental healthcare.
My career is shaped by a deep commitment to breaking down barriers in both education and mental health. I bring lived experience and professional training to every setting in which I work. I’ve supported students with disabilities in academic and behavioral environments, responded to emotional and behavioral crises, and created practical, individualized strategies that help people succeed right where they are.
I bring years of experience working alongside students, educators, mental health professionals, and support staff in fast-paced, constantly changing environments. I adapt quickly, pivot when needed, and think on my feet to manage complex situations while supporting both professionals and the vulnerable individuals we serve. I focus on meeting people where they are, validating their experiences, building trust, and helping them gain the tools they need to grow, stabilize, and move forward.
I’m excited to learn and grow in this process! I look forward to meeting you. -Evan
