Worked in the lab of Dr. Tulsi Patel to overexpress a gene called NFIA to produce mature motor neurons in culture, which is important for studying neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Presented summer research at NeuroSURP research symposium. Also shadowed neurologist Dr. Rocco Dipaola and neurosurgeon Dr. Simon Salerno as part of the program.
Studying NFL injuries for the purpose of prevention by logging NFL injury data weekly through the 2024-2025 season.
Studying carbon sequestration in the Oxford Forest by inventorying trees along the nature trail on the Oxford College of Emory campus, and evaluating other ecosystem benefits provided by trees. Assessing plant species diversity and abundance in the forest with and without invasive species.
Volunteer responding to 911 calls, providing emergency medical services to local communities, helping with patient transport and care, checking medical equipment, stocking ambulance supplies, and participating in community service programs. Approximately 4-8 hours/week.
Working with students who need extra help with topics in organic chemistry by answering questions, providing practice problems, and guiding students through difficult assignments.
Working during lab to answer questions about lab techniques and lab concepts and serving as a model to perform skills such as thin-layer chromatography and rotary film evaporation; meeting with students outside of class to prepare them for their lab practical.
Perform linesman duties and assist the referee in enforcing the rules of the game during U9 to U14 EDP soccer games. Communicate expectations to players and participate in feedback conversations with Center Referee.
Responsible for checking patients' vital signs, including pulse oximetry, temperature, respiratory rate, pulse, and blood pressure readings in emergency department fast-track clinic. 10 clinical hours total.

Cut and weave no-sew fleece blankets that are distributed to children in-need at hospitals, shelters, and military bases. Deliver approximately 20 blankets/year.
Completed research project in molecular biology and bioinformatics, identifying novel genes in species of duckweed. Published 2 unique sequences in GenBank database.
Volunteered to secure COVID-19 vaccines for NJ senior citizens by researching vaccination sites in their local area and booking appointments. Successfully scheduled over 80 appointments.
