  • I am a licensed California substitute teacher. I work in any role K-12, but I have specialized in long-term roles where I have written assignments and shaped curriculum.

Long-term roles.

  • 9th grade Ethnic Studies, 1 semester, East College Prep: I developed a curriculum and created over 30 assignments and projects.
  • 11th grade Environmental science, 1 quarter, PUC Early College Learning Academy: I wrote tests, followed text books and facilitated labs.
  • 10th Grade Chemistry, 1 quarter, East College Prep: I oversaw a long term science project.

  • Alongside my teaching and creative endeavors, I have worked in ad agencies as a copywriter. I write radio commercials, billboards, magazine, and newspaper advertisements.   • I taught a literacy workshop at several Chicago public schools. We would visit each class once or twice per week, and at the end of each semester, the students performed a play. The course successfully increased student reading scores.

Jefferson County Public Schools
  • With my video production company, Oak Cask Media, I helped Jefferson County Public Schools maintain their internal communications during the confusing times of the pandemic. I helped craft scripts for the Diversity and Inclusion team and produced and edited videos that the district used in training its 6,000+ educators.

  • I created and led workshops for middle school students designed to teach reading Shakespeare through acting. I teach that the first step in performing Shakespeare is to understand his words and to have fun with them.
