Evan Lipsky

I'm a Master's student at Rollins College pursuing a degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and Clinical Science. I developed an interest in working with special needs children in high school, where I spent the last quarter of my senior year working with intellectually disabled children in the special education department at a middle school. In college, my interest in working with special needs children grew as I did a semester long case study on a two year-old girl with autism. While studying psychology, I discovered my niche to be behaviorism; more specifically behavior analysis, after taking an ABA course and finishing with a near perfect grade. I am also a Registered Behavior Technician, and have worked in an outpatient clinic for about 1.5 years. I have ample experience working with and observing intellectually disabled children and I'm very knowledgeable about the principles of radical behaviorism. I am very passionate about ABA, and even more passionate about helping people.

• Psychology Practicum (30 hours): In a
  laboratory/demonstration preschool, I completed a case study of one child diagnosed with autism, including objective observation in all areas of development, a home visit, and analysis of assessment.

• Senior Project: During my senior year of high school, I participated in a half-semester work experience program where I shadowed several special education teachers in a middle school. Apart from observing, I also built connections and worked one-on-one with several individual students; helping them with assignments, sitting in on their classes, and more.

• RBT: I have around 1.5 years of experience working as an RBT at an outpatient clinic in Central Florida. I have worked with clients ranging between 3-20 years of age with a variety of needs. I have also treated high magnitude behaviors including aggression and self-injurious behavior.
