  • Currently employed at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists, my current position of employment has been exhilarating and has ignited a sense of drive and fascination with veterinary medicine Being one of the largest animal hospitals in the United States, with over 15 departments, Working in the emergency department has played a significant role in advancing my career and knowledge in veterinary medicine. This being my first position in practicing veterinary medicine, i have accelerated rapidly and have found a true passion.
  • My duties included:
  • Properly and safely restraining animals for examination by DVM, and treatments by technicians
  • Triaging pets, and assessing medical issues to properly provide history to DVM
  • Obtaining vitals on pets that are stable, fractious, actively coding to the detail of pulse, blood pressure, temperature, respiratory rate and effort, mentation
